Kate Flores-Hugendubler is active at St. Ignatius primarily with the Justice and Peace Ministry and the Gabriel Network, but she will strive to serve all of her fellow parishioners on the pastoral council. Kate also represents the parish while volunteering as the archdiocesan coordinator of sympathy notes for the next of kin of Baltimore City homicide victims. She is an alumna of the Contemplative Leaders in Action Ignatian spirituality and leadership program for young adults, and she has completed (and highly recommends others to complete) the Nineteenth Annotation of the Spiritual Exercises.
Kate holds a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and a master’s degree in health care law, and she works in the field of human research ethics and regulations. She delights in playing the piano and organ, fresh cut and dried flowers, stationery, and learning new ways in which the "Smalltimore" phenomenon of connectedness manifests itself. Kate and her husband Jonathan are Baltimore City transplants and residents who are enthusiastic about promoting and helping improve the city. They enjoy playing trivia, frequenting locally owned food and drink establishments, attending live music performances, following professional and collegiate men's and women's sports, and watching films and plays.
