I have been a parishioner at St. Ignatius for the better part of the last 15 years. My wife, Anela, and I were initially drawn to St. Ignatius because of its uniquely strong focus on social justice, the incredible homilies, and the strong sense of community we found in the parish (plus the music!). In our time here, St. Ignatius has consistently proven to be a force for good and change in our own spiritual lives, in Baltimore, and in the wider Catholic community. We love this parish! I am honored and humbled to be nominated for the Pastoral Council, and I would hope to aid in the mission of the parish to deepen the faith and spread the Good News in any way I can.
At St. Ignatius, I have a great time teaching the 3rd/4th grade class in the PREP program, and I am part of the Immigration Mobilization Committee. My family (my wife, daughter Malia, and myself) have also recently gotten reinvolved with the Loaves and Fishes program.
I am a Professor in the Mathematics Department at University of Maryland, and I hope to offer an additional analytic perspective to the Council.
